The Polish police to stop the former co-founder of BitMarket

The co-owner of BitMarket, a referred to as Marcin A., was indicted by the office of the prosecutor of the Polish city of Suwalki, following a survey of the crypto-london stock exchange registered under the domain name BitMarket.pl.

525 customers have complained

The department of fight against cybercrime of the police of Olsztyn was in charge of the investigation, under the supervision of the office of the prosecutor of Suwalki.
Following police investigations, it was revealed that the management of Bitmarket would have plotted against his clients in order to extort 2300 bitcoins of the accounts of the latter. The survey report describes the crimes perpetrated by Marcin A.
In addition, the co-founder of BitMarket would have had other charges, including the theft of the identity of the company, to sell its shares at a ridiculous price of 120 000 PLN. But the truth is, the company in question had accumulated debts to the tune of 22.662.288 PLN.

The causes of the closure of the exchange site are revealed

As a reminder, the site of exchange of crypto-currencies BitMarket has ceased operations since last July for reasons that are not apparent. This attestation is certainly in continuity with the investigations following its closure, according to the period mentioned by the court in which the frauds were committed, in particular between 2015 and July 7, 2019.
Therefore, the accused risked a sentence of ten years imprisonment and fines, on the one hand to have misled 525 clients from the old platform, and on the other hand to have scammed the buyer by concealing the debts incurred by the company.
During its unexpected closure last July, the leaders of the crypto-platform, have raised concerns over liquidity. Curiously, the director of BitMarket, in-person, Marcin Aszkielowicz, unveils an act of piracy in 2017, during which at least 600 BTC were stolen.
