Binance China FUD – The-mud battle between CZ and The Block

It hasn’t even been four days, when the in the crypto space is very well-known news page of The Block issued a far-reaching article. So The Block wrote that there was a police RAID in the Binance Office in Shanghai and this was then closed. The article self-contained, however, no indication of source or any solid evidence. Binance quickly reacted to this article and claimed “to have no fixed Office in Shanghai”.What events then occurred, are obvious. Nearly all of the crypto lost currencies the following days of tremendous value and the total market capitalization dropped by a good 10 percent. This type of coverage of the Binance CEO CZ anything other than ‘amused’ and drew conclusions.

Critical journalism or Fake News? – The Block to defend the own presentation

After the article was published on the Website of The Block, this also directly viral. Because ‘a police RAID in a Binance Office’ definitely belongs to the category of Breaking News. And so only a few hours until the Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao passed (in short: CZ) via Twitter to the News received. He described the article as a clear FUD, and also said that he does not have to be paid for each hope for the article. (Note: the article contained a Paywall).

And so CZ was hoping, obviously, to the fact that The Block apologized for the dissemination of this message. And if there would be an apology, it should represent the article content properly and correct. However, as we know from today’s point of view, there was no excuse. Rather, they published The Block, a new Tweet by you with your article defended. So you will continue to their sources, and in particular to the published report. The word police RAID was not used in this context, however.

List with addresses of Binance Offices published

In addition to this, heated The Block to the controversy by publishing another article with the addresses of Binance Offices in Shanghai. They wanted to put so reflected, obviously, the statement made by CZ, that Binance’d in Shanghai, no offices. The effect was so proved at least that Binance in Shanghai is a resident or was. In the article, as the Wording of a police was put RAID back. Instead, The Block spoke of the closure of the Offices.

After our first reporting a source has confirmed that Chinese officials had one of the Binance offices visited, prior to its closure.

This statement definitely sounds more distant than the previous Headline of a police RAID. Due to the fact that The Block could not prove this RAID has also adjusted the title of the article. So this now reads:

According to our sources, the Binance Office was closed in Shanghai after a visit from officials.

Binance CEO CZ announces judicial consequences

Yesterday, (probably not the last) act in the fight Binance vs The Block followed. Since CZ got no excuse, he needed to draw conclusions.

So he replied to the question of a User, whether Binance consider it, to go to court:

We will sue you.
