The government of Colombia, to take place in the month of September, an event focused on blockchain and digital content. The meeting, called Colombia 4.0, will comprise a group of conferences, workshops, and activities related to new technologies.Colombia 4.0 will be held on 25, 26 and 27 of September in the city of Bogotá, suggest the organisers. The Ministry of Information and Communication Technologies of Colombia (MinTIC) is the entity promoter of the activity. Also, the Bogota Mayor’s office, along with Heroes Fest and INNpulsa Colombia are part of the initiative.

This is the fifth edition of Colombia 4.0, after its release in the year 2015. As in previous editions, the colombian government demonstrates its interest in blockchain, to incorporate again this technology to the content pane. The event’s website points out that speakers and attendees will identify potential “advantages, constraints and opportunities” that provides blockchain in Colombia, being this its main objective.Interested parties can fill out a form and sign up to participate in the event, highlighting their personal data, area of interest or research. The tickets are completely free and can be booked online by logging on to the official website.
All about digital revolution
The conferences of Colombia 4.0 not only will be focused on the technologies blockchains and their possible use cases. The summit aims to convene speakers international to discuss digital content and technologies in general.Animation, video games, electronic music, digital advertising and media are some of the most popular themes that will play in the conference. Also, there will be talks and workshops on artificial intelligence, smart cities and financial technologies (Fintech). The children will also be able to learn about new technology at the event, with activities designed especially for them.The national government ensures that Colombia 4.0 is one of the meetings on economy orange largest in the country. According to records of previous editions, in 2018 a 72.100 people participated in the event and was attended by a total of 140 speakers. Guests of the united States, France, Canada and Argentina, to mention a few countries, have also participated in previous events. Similarly, some startups in colombia have managed to capitalize on international funding through this summit.
