In this post I will try to explain to Paul in a simple way how the Technology works Blockchain. I’ll be honest with you, I really am a little tired of all this of the Blockchain, the Bitcoin, the cryptocurrencies, and all those things that only serve to make more complex the world without improving it at all, because, in the end, How can it be beneficial a technology that we don’t even understand? Honestly, Paul, you’ve always been too pessimistic. You haven’t even given a chance to the technology of Blockchain and all the amazing uses that you can give. Is what perhaps has a different utility to that of minar cryptocurrencies as the Bitcoin? – Oh yes! The Blockchain has many potential uses, and at the end of the day their operation is not anything of another world, you just need to understand a couple of things to begin to understand how this technology has managed to revolutionize many sectors at the same time. And is that even a child could understand it: >>Imagine for a moment a teacher in a classroom of the elementary school, where, as part of the activities, all the children take a toy different. When the time for rest, all will have the option to play with your toy or trade it with someone else for that day. >>This brings us to a very serious problem, How do you know which children shared their toys with each other? After all, there is only one teacher for more than 30 children in a classroom, she can’t be on the lookout and remember everything. That’s why the teacher came up with an idea: he would write in a notebook what the children shared their toys with each other, and so would register. Wait a minute… at the end of the log that carries the teacher in your binder is not a guarantee of anything, she is just a person, and in the midst of so many children can make mistakes, annotate incorrect data, or even lose the notebook. It can even be the possibility that a child will damage it and miss the registration! Exactly! And it is there where they enter the children in the class, and that is that all of them participate in the experiment of the teacher, because when two children go on an exchange, all the others write down in their notebooks. >>For this reason, the teacher may make mistakes when writing the data, lose the notebook, or even try to manipulate them, and it wouldn’t matter, because the correct information would still be in all other notebooks. I still don’t understand that it has to do with the Blockchain… Is that this is the Blockchain. A chain of blocks is not another thing that a database, a site where you store information, and this information is found not only in the servers a person, the teacher in our example, but in those of all persons that participate in the network, i.e. the children. Wait a minute, that means that if someone wanted to alter the data of the network… Would have to alter the data contained in all the servers that participate in the maintenance of this, that is to say, you would have to steal and rewrite all the notebooks of the children. Therefore, the Blockchain is not another thing that a database is more transparent and secure than the other, because the information is not in the hands of a person or organization, but rather in thousands of them A moment, but if this is so, the technology Blockchain could have hundreds of different uses, isn’t it? So it is. As you can keep a record of the toys exchanged by children, it can also be used to keep track of properties in a city, the expenses that made the government to face the corruption, or even to carry out elections in a virtual way. The options are endless with the technology Blockchain! But I do not understand how a technology so simple can be so revolutionary… that Is what makes it revolutionary is not the difficulty in its operation, Paul, but what it offers to innovators around the world. A concept as simple as a record of exchanges in many books at the same time, it can be and is being kick-started, for some of the greatest inventions that have ever seen the humanity.
