Facebook Pay is a payment system created for the purpose of facilitating payments via four social networks the most used in the world, namely Facebook, Messenger, Instagram and WhatsApp.
Deborah Liu, the vice-president of markets and trade of Facebook, has commented on the revolution in these terms :
“The users are already using payments via our applications in order to make purchases, make donations to causes and exchanging money. Facebook Pay to facilitate these transactions, while continuing to ensure that your payment information is secure and protected “.
A product that is completely independent of Libra
Knowing that the project Libra is trying to regroup after the bow drawn by a good number of its partners, Facebook has clearly indicated that this new project has been constructed on the basis of financing of the share of enthusiastic partners for the project.
Deborah Liu has also argued that the payment service will have no interference on all levels with the new portfolio Calibra of Facebook as well as on the network Libra. This precision purpose would be to give free rein to the development of the project, without a regulatory review vienna disturbing.
Note that this payment system would be put into force this week on Messenger and on Facebook in the United States.
