Perceived as the number one crypto-hackers, and this, since the attack of the Apple Jesus on several crypto-platforms by 2018, the group Lazarus, a group of pirates assumed relationship with North Korea, has been the subject of numerous studies, including one recently conducted by Kaspersky Labs, the business of cyber security in moscow.

More sophisticated methods

The group Lazarus have recently created an attack vector to deliver malware via the messaging application Telegram.
According to the researchers, the download of the software would allow hackers to gather information on the victims, and this, without their knowledge.
Most of these channels had been directed to companies of crypto-currencies, fictional, presumably created by the hackers themselves.

The crypto-sector is more threatened than ever

The efforts undertaken by the society of cyber security have identified several victims of these attacks, and yet details on Lazarus still remain obscure.
By running the malware through the computer’s memory rather than on a hard drive, the hacker still manages to circumvent detection systems.
The true identity of the group, a presupposition of original north Korean, cannot yet be confirmed with certainty up to now, all the more so as the secret service of the country has denied on several occasions any involvement in these attacks.
In only two years, i.e. in 2017 and 2018, Lazarus would have stolen nearly $ 600 million in crypto-currencies.
According to Kaspersky, this figure could rise further in the years to come.

“This type of attack against companies of crypto-currencies will continue and become more sophisticated “, he indicated in his report.

Do you think that the business of cyber security would arrive one day to put the hand on Lazarus ? Respond in the comment section below.
