The team HackLatam reported that they will conduct in various cities of Latin America a series of hack days on blockchains. The technological challenges to be performed in Peru, Colombia, Chile and Panama will count with the support of the regional event Blockchain Summit Latam (BSL), arriving in December to its fourth edition.Breaking News spoke with the CEO of Godzillion and main organizer of the BSL, Christopher Pereira, in order to know details about this ambitious project, which will travel to several nations in the region, bringing technology and recognitions to different cities of the continent.Pereira reported that the performance of the hack days will begin in Lima, where there will be days 4 and 5 of October. Then, the event will take place in Medellin on days 18 and 19 of the same month, while they will visit Santiago de Chile on 23 and 24 November, to finish in Panama, during the December 4 and 5, where the last of the hack days coincides with the fourth edition of the BSL, one of the events on blockchains that are more representative of Latin america.Recall that a hackathon is a competition for developers with a time limit. In it, the participants should propose a model or solution to a problem or system determined by those who organize the event, usually with other partners such as companies or developers criptoactivos. The idea is that, in addition to promoting the development in this path of challenges, the four winners protagonicen a great competition in Panama. “We want to unite the community of developers in places in which we see that there is potential for this technology,” said Pereira. The winner of the overall competition you will get several awards, among which highlights an acceleration program business to develop your product. Depending on the chain of blocks they choose for the project, will be able to access other awards, although this will be revealed as the date approaches. The goal is to be able to repeat the competition next year, said Pereira, but expanding the scope of the event to other countries. This first edition will feature only 4 countries, but it is expected that for the coming year is to add more destinations and contestants to the challenges. It should be noted that the hack days have already been conducted in other cities of Latin America, and that the organization of this event has worked with the Santiago Stock exchange, and with projects criptoactivos as NEM and MakerDAO in their various challenges, which have been well organized in one issue of the BSL or independently, to attract developers, and hackers of different nationalities towards the technology of accounting distributed and the cryptocurrencies.
