Facilitate the access to the internet

The telecom regulator in Nigeria, the nigerian communications Commission, has just allocated a sum of 2 million naira, or about 5 500 dollars, the startup Blockchain Wicrypt.
This fund was granted to support the startup in its efforts to facilitate the sharing of WiFi, thanks to the use of the Blockchain.
In fact, Wicrypt encourages the collaboration of users by rewarding them in cash, in order to encourage them to share their Internet connection.
All those who want to take advantage of the service should register on the mobile application of Wicrypt and deposit funds in fiat currency and Bitcoin (BTC), Ether (ETH) or Binance Corner (NBB).
Apparently, an integrated portfolio included in the solution will check if the assets of the beneficiary are enough to pay for the services. Thus, the services shall cease automatically when the available funds are exhausted. Users will have the choice between the withdrawal of their winnings in cash or in crypto-currencies, according to their preference.

The Blockchain becomes the tool fetish of the country

This development shows that Nigeria is among those african countries that are trying to straighten their situation through the adoption of the Blockchain.
Although the legal regime and regulatory environment on the Blockchain is still somewhat unclear for the time being, Nigeria has recorded an increase in activities related to the Blockchain in recent years.
