In CriptoTendencia we talked with Andrew Salamone, advisor to the initiative of EcoDocta, who told us: “The government of Córdoba understands that the project EcoDocta offers a disruptive proposal that empowers the community to take actions which impact on the well-being of the planet.” In addition, he added: EcoDocta is a project that is aware of the environmental problems facing our planet and generates concrete actions that allows you to lessen the damage and in exchange reward the community with a criptomoneda. What is the project EcoDocta?
In seeking to create a culture of recycling in public and private spaces, is born EcoDocta, the first project crypto-eco-friendly Cordoba. This project aims to create a collective consciousness, with the understanding that the change only happens if you act as a community. In this sense, they seek to create a culture of recycling and collaborative through the implementation of machines in public and private spaces, which allow a considerable reduction of the amount of discarded containers. Currently EcoDocta through their actions in the recycling community managed to collect: 655 bottles, 457 caps and 830 glasses of styrofoam. The process is very easy, a machine receives the plastic bottles to recycle and then gives you a criptomoneda call LEARNED which can be exchanged at merchants that accept them. These machines will be located in different places and institutions of the city on different dates. The plastic collected will be donated to the entrepreneurship, “3 Constructions” that creates houses from modules of bottles compacted, these homes have a cost 50% less than a conventional added to this was the incredible properties that the PET plastic contributes to the walls. The philosophy EcoDocta is based on creating environmental solutions economically sustainable significant impact on the society through the collaborative work of teams, both internal and external. The project seeks to improve this and other initiatives of triple impact (economic, social and environmental) by creating a network where each individual can come to know the positive impact generated by its actions. Through these machines collect containers and then to recover them and reintegrate them to the society in the form of products of value. In this way they manage to avoid production processes costly for the economy and for the environment, at the same time that reduce the creation of landfills that pollute the ground water that is still fresh and scarce. This project is incubated by the Foundation Gene And, with the support of the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation and the Area of Proética of the UCC. We are clear that, Blockchain is a technology that, through a network of distributed nodes and connected to each other, which allows to build an ecosystem of interconnected, very resilient to potential cyber-attacks, providing a total transparency and reliability in the information it offers. Its use in the processes of environmental management will provide the same security that you may not offer any other technology. It is worth mentioning that Ecodocta is fostering partnerships with educational institutions, foundations, companies, the state and the community within which they emphasize the support of the Catholic University of Cordoba.
