A support secured
The Human Rights Foundation accepts donations in crypto-currencies since 2014. However, the non-profit organization has operated a change in the process of taking charge of crypto-donations with the use of the payment processor BTCPay.
“BTCPay Server helps you protect the privacy of donors ; it has no centralized authority that would collect or exploit user information ; and it is nicely customizable,” said Alex Galdstein, director of the american NGO.
The deployment of BTCPay Server will also make anonymous donations in crypto-currencies and to respect the privacy of donors. The foundation also accepts gifts-in-ether (ETH) and crypto-currencies focused on the private life such as Monero (XMR) and the Zcash (ZEC), according to its official website.
A strong interest in crypto-currencies
Last December, Alex Gladstein is emerged as a strong advocate of crypto-currencies. During an interview with the site, The Block, the crypto-currencies represent the future of money and allow the public to be freed from a central authority.
“Access to the money will be remarkably powerful, especially as we move toward a future without money where all the money will be electronically “, he said at the time.
In the meantime, the co-creator of the Bitcoin Foundation, Brock Pierce would be one of the main donors of the organization. This generosity would have been able to lead the us-based NGO to look favourably on the crypto-currencies.
